Set up Bermuda for an agent

Install a short index into the instruction file the user's agent actually loads. The full workflows stay in bermuda and bermuda-self-improve, so an always-loaded copy does not drift from them. This setup works with Codex and Claude Code; it does not change either agent's execution permissions.

Target and discovery

Use the user's named file when supplied. Otherwise choose the active agent's standing file: ~/.codex/AGENTS.md for Codex or ~/.claude/CLAUDE.md for Claude Code. For another agent, use its configured instruction file rather than creating a Claude file it never loads. Follow symlinks and edit their target; respect the user's versioning conventions. Do not configure other agents unless that is part of the request.
