officecli

Adapted from OfficeCLI by goworm (commit fb98e59), Apache-2.0. See LICENSE and NOTICE in this folder. Modified by Coco: install section replaced, update check disabled.

AI-friendly CLI for .docx, .xlsx, .pptx. Single binary, no dependencies, no Office installation needed.

Setup

Run command -v officecli. If it is missing, stop and tell the user to run brew install officecli (macOS/Linux with Homebrew). Never install it yourself any other way. Never run officecli install.

Every call runs as OFFICECLI_SKIP_UPDATE=1 officecli …. The shell environment does not persist between agent tool calls, so prefix each call. The examples below omit the prefix for brevity.

Render, look, fix

After edits, render the file, look at the result, and fix it. Repeat until the render looks right.
