Why Deprecated

The generic artifact-updater lacked:

• Research gates (Exa/arXiv queries)
• Enterprise bundle validation and scaffolding
• Risk scoring specific to each artifact type
• Protected sections manifests
• Cascade detection
• Companion validation

Type-specific updaters provide all of these features.
