Why Stocksy Downloader

Stocksy United operates as a curated co-op marketplace where photographers and videographers sell premium, royalty-free creative content. Once you license an asset, retrieving the full-resolution file means navigating to the purchase record, locating the correct resolution tier, and saving each item individually. For professionals managing multiple projects with dozens of licensed images and clips, this manual process adds up fast.

Stocksy Downloader is being designed to live inside the browser and connect with your Stocksy account. The goal is to recognize your licensed assets on any Stocksy page, surface quick download controls, and let you retrieve files at the resolution you paid for without hunting through account menus or repeating the same steps for every asset.

How It Will Work

1. Install the extension once it is released.
2. Open the Stocksy website and log in to your account.
3. Browse or search for photos and videos as you normally would.
4. The extension detects assets on the page and shows download availability.
5. Click the extension icon or the inline download button next to a licensed asset.
6. Select your preferred resolution or format if multiple tiers are available.
7. Confirm the download and the file saves directly to your local machine.
8. Use the download history panel to review and re-download past assets.

Expected Formats

• Photos: JPEG and TIFF at the resolution matching your license tier
• Videos: MOV and MP4 clips at the resolution purchased through your Stocksy license

All exported files will retain their original quality as delivered by Stocksy. Metadata such as contributor name, asset ID, and license type will be preserved in the file properties where the format supports it.

FAQ

When will Stocksy Downloader be released? A release date has not been set. Sign up at the waitlist link above to be notified as soon as it is available.

Does this extension let me download assets I have not licensed? No. Stocksy Downloader is built to help you retrieve assets tied to your purchased licenses. It does not bypass Stocksy's licensing or paywall.

What resolutions will be available for download? The extension will offer the resolution tiers associated with your license. If you purchased a standard license, you will get the standard resolution; extended licenses will unlock higher-resolution files.

Will it work with Stocksy video content as well as photos? Yes. Both photo and video asset downloads are planned features, covering the full range of content available on the Stocksy marketplace.

Is it free? Pricing details will be announced closer to launch. SERP extensions typically include a free trial period.

Can I download assets in bulk from a lightbox? Bulk download from lightboxes is a planned feature, allowing you to save an entire curated collection after licensing the assets within it.

License

This repository is distributed under the proprietary SERP Apps license in the LICENSE file. Review that file before copying, modifying, or redistributing any part of this project.

The platform offers royalty-free photos and videos for commercial and editorial use, but retrieving purchased assets still relies on the default web download flow. Stocksy Downloader is being built to simplify that retrieval process for users who want a faster, more organized way to manage the licensed content they have already paid for.
