Why TeraBox Downloader

TeraBox is widely used for sharing large files because of its generous 1TB free tier, but downloading from shared links can be frustrating. Free-tier users often face throttled speeds, multi-step redirect flows, mandatory app install prompts, and session timeouts on bigger files. If a shared folder contains dozens of items, there is no convenient way to grab everything without clicking through each file individually.

TeraBox Downloader is being designed to intercept shared links inside the browser, resolve the actual download URLs, and manage the transfer in a way that reduces friction. The aim is to let you paste or click a TeraBox link and walk away with the file on your hard drive, without fighting the platform's free-tier limitations or navigating through pop-ups and interstitial screens.

How It Will Work

1. Install the extension once it is released.
2. Navigate to any TeraBox shared link in your browser.
3. The extension will detect the shared content on the page automatically.
4. Open the extension popup to see the list of available files.
5. Select individual files or choose all items in a shared folder.
6. Click download and the extension will resolve the direct file URL.
7. Monitor progress through the built-in download tracker.
8. Files are saved to your local machine with their original filenames intact.

• Any other file type hosted on TeraBox shared links

The extension will handle whatever file type is stored behind the shared link. There are no format restrictions on the download side.

Does it require a TeraBox account? The extension is being built to work with publicly shared links. Whether a TeraBox account is needed may depend on the link's sharing permissions and access restrictions set by the uploader.

Will it speed up downloads? The goal is to optimize connection handling and reduce overhead from redirect flows, which should result in faster and more reliable transfers compared to the default browser experience on TeraBox.

Can I download entire shared folders? Batch folder download is a planned feature. The extension will parse the folder contents and let you select which files to grab or download everything at once.

Is it free? Pricing details will be announced closer to launch. SERP extensions typically include a free trial period.

Will it work with password-protected links? Support for password-protected shared links is on the roadmap. You would enter the share password in the extension, which would then handle the rest of the download flow.
