Mobile design

A web screen inside a phone app is judged against the native screens around it, not against other web pages. Two things decide whether it passes: reproducing the design exactly, and following the platform conventions users feel but never name. These are working practices, not laws — the design reference always wins over any rule here — but every one of them exists because a shipped screen got it wrong.
