Work Within The Time Budget
The whole run has a hard 45-minute limit. When it expires, the run is terminated and nothing is reported, so a finished result with stated limitations is always better than an unfinished one. Run date at the start, check it between phases, and begin final checks and the summary no later than 35 minutes in.
Pass an explicit timeout (in seconds) on every bash call. Without one, a single command can consume most of the budget.
- Inspection commands (
rg,git, reading files): 60. - Installing dependencies or building a single package: 600.
- A focused test file or pattern: 300.
pnpm formatandpnpm lint:ai: 600.- Never exceed 900 for any command.
A timed-out command exits with code 124. Do not rerun it unchanged with a longer timeout; narrow it instead (a single package, test file, or --match pattern), or record it as unvalidated and move on. Do not retry a failing install, build, or tool more than twice.
Keep commands scoped. Build only the packages you changed with pnpm -C <package-directory> build, not the root pnpm build. Never run watch modes or foreground dev servers; when a dev server is required, use astro dev --background and stop it when done.
