Cart Abandonment Email Sequence

Write a 3-email cart abandonment sequence for any ecommerce product. Recover lost sales with emails that remind, overcome objections, and close with urgency.

How to Use

Tell me about your product, its price, and the main reason people buy it. I'll write all 3 emails ready to load into your ESP (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, etc.).

Just say: "Write cart abandonment emails for [product] priced at [price] — people buy it because [main benefit]"

What You Get

3 complete emails:

Email 1: The Reminder (Send: 1 hour after abandonment)

  • Subject: Warm, curious, no pressure
  • Content: Simple reminder + reinforce the value
  • Tone: Helpful, not salesy
  • CTA: Clear button back to cart

Email 2: The Objection Handler (Send: 24 hours after abandonment)

  • Subject: Address the #1 reason people don't buy
  • Content: Overcome the hesitation (price, trust, timing, need)
  • Tone: Understanding, empathetic
  • Add: Social proof, guarantee, FAQ answers
  • CTA: Reassure + easy return to cart

Email 3: The Last Chance (Send: 48-72 hours after abandonment)

  • Subject: Urgency-driven (stock, price, offer expiry)
  • Content: Final push with a reason to act NOW
  • Tone: Direct, time-sensitive
  • Add: Scarcity element or small incentive
  • CTA: Strong, clear, last chance

Proven Rules for Cart Recovery

  • Don't lead with discount — train customers to abandon for deals
  • Lead with value, end with urgency
  • Include the product image and cart contents
  • Mobile-first — 60%+ of cart recoveries happen on mobile
  • Personalize when possible ("Hey [Name], you left something behind")
